Tom O’Toole the famous Beechworth baker and owner of Beechworth bakery did part his apprenticeship at this very site when it was a bakery. We still have some of the original baker’s orchard behind rooms 14 to 27. The oranges, lemons and apples were used daily in the baked goods made here. We still continue to harvest the fruits and use them in our restaurant.
